We are proud to be known as one of the oldest continuously running markets in the state of Connecticut. In the mid 18th century, when packet ships, plied their trade along the Eastern seaboard from New York to Boston, we served as an offloading port for fresh meats, produce, groceries and dry goods.
Today, Rowayton Market continues to serve the local community and is a local favorite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The market offers restaurant quality prepared foods fresh cut meats, gourmet take-out, produce, freshly baked bread, pastries, cakes and a large selection of fine cheeses. Basic household items and fresh flowers are also available.
Enjoy your meal on the deck, from coffee in the morning to dessert after dinner, Rowayton Market offers casual waterfront dining right on the 5 Mile River. On a hot summer day have an iced coffee or ice tea, juice, soda, fresh fruits, salads, sandwiches, or any of our other offerings while enjoying a nice breeze from the river or perhaps a sunset view at dusk. On rainy days, enjoy the view from one of our tables by the windows overlooking the beautiful river view.
We offer full service catering. Order the food and the rest will be done for you. Servers will deliver food, set up the event, serve your guests and clean up! Call in to ask about our catering service.
The deck is also available for private parties for up to 30 people and open year all year long!
